
East Java is one of Indonesia provinces. It is located on the eastern part of Java Island and also includes Madura and Bawean islands. It state in the West neighbor of Bali, across the small Strait of Bali. Its capital, Surabaya is second to Jakarta in size, population and commerce. East Java is also the most industrialized province in the nation. Its economy is based on agriculture, fishery, oil industries, coffee, mangoes and apples. Connected with the rest of Java by good motor roads and train services, there are also air services between Surabaya and other major cities in the country including Bali which is only half an hour’s flight a way. BANGKALAN
Madura Island is part of East Java that needs a better access. Madura that consist of four regencies has a lot to offer. The interesting part of this attraction is when a rider stands on the ‘Keleles’, yelling and slamming while his hands hold two sticks and slap the bull’s weight and attached to the bulls. A pair of male cow races each other in 200 m length or known with Kerapan Sapi. Madurese always hold this race yearly from sub district level, district, and finally to get a President Cup.
This tradition has done for so long and it is a symbol to thank to God by cow breeders in Madura. Brown cow, a Madurese cow which is always in the race, tourist also can notice Sapi Kereman, to enjoy how Madurese takes care of their cows. It is the interesting part, begins with how the Madurese graze the cows, take care of the cow’s health with traditional herbs and train the cow about running. In the middle of Kerapan Sapi, there is an additional attraction “Sapi Sono”. It is a female bull contest.
The town of Sumenep of the North Eastern and of the island has some interesting historical, as well as some good nearby. The city’s old palace and museum are worth visiting, as is the large Jami’ Mosque with its green-tiered roof, above the town is the royal mausoleums Asta Tinggi. The two main beaches near Sumenep are Slopeng beach and Lombang beach. There are many small villages and quite beaches on the way, in particular the fishing communities of Pasongsongan and Pasean, where the estuaries have packed with colourful sailing boats. Madura has well known for its Batik Textile production and has its own unique style in the performing art; the island is famous for its Topeng Dalang, a mask dance / theatre, which at one time had only seen within the royal palace. Most popular Batik is at Tanjungbumi, Bangkalan.
BANYUWANGI

BOJONEGORO
Bojonegoro is a small town and regency in East Java, Indonesia. It is located about 100 km west of Surabaya. Bojonegoro regency has an area of 934 km (230.706 acres), with a population of 1,156,652 (based on a census in 2000). The eastern border of Bojonegoro is Lamongan Regency, in the north is Tuban while in the south is Madiun, Nganjuk and Jombang. To the west in the west are Ngawi and Blora, in Central Java. The town was founded 20 October 1677 with Mas Toemapel as the first regent. Bojonegoro is famous for tobacco and hardwood tree (jati) production.
BONDOWOSO
Bondowoso is known as a town of retired people. It is 225 meters above the sea. The greatest activity occurs when the bullfight season arrives. Remains from a megalithic period are found in the center of the town, on the slope of Besar Hill. There is a stone sarcophagus, stone statues and a stone chair.
Ijen crater may become of great interest to the adventurous tourist. According to them, Sedudo Waterfall was used to bath statue in Parna Prahista ceremony, then the water spattered to the body in order to get a safety and eternal youth. 12 girls with long hair and boys do the traditional ceremony of taking up Sedudo sacral water as the sign to begin the public bathing. The form this procession is taking a bath together in the pool under Sedudo waterfall, and held every Suro (the first Javanese month).
NGAWI

SIDOARJO
Sidoarjo recognized for multifariously its sea fish like milkfish, prawn, crab, cockle mussel, etc. Sidoarjo produces many kinds of foods with fish as the main production. The typical of fish cuisine are easy to find in Sidoarjo, for example; milkfish smoke, a nice food at Mojopahit Street, Sidoarjo. Beside that the tourists also can enjoy another cuisine like, milkfish presto, otak-otak milkfish, lontong mussel, condiment of the fermented prawn, prawn crisply, mussel crisply, etc.
Tanggulangin is known as the center of bag, case, shoe, and embroidery handicraft. Laid at + 2 km southward of Sidoarjo city. Most of the Tanggulangin people make those handicrafts and sell it to the market till to the whole country. Usually, the consuments buy the products by retail and also grocery. We also can meet the beauty pattern of embroidery and cloth, which had product by the crafteman. They offer its products with lower price and good quality.
SITUBONDO
Situbondo is a town located at the distance of thirty-five kilometers northeast of Bondowoso Regency. The harbor of Panarukan is found here. Situbondo is a producer of cane sugar. From Situbondo, one can visit Pasir Putih Beach, a well-known seaside resort forty-three kilometers from Situbondo. About fifty-nine kilometers away from the town the village of Wonorejo, near the Baluran Nature Reserve. Wild buffaloes graze on extensive grasslands. It is Better to come in the afternoon or in the early morning, after the dry season.
The lovely beach may be worth visiting for a few hours. The attraction of this place is fishing, sailing, swimming, and snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing or just simply sunbathing. Good seafood is available at some beachfront restaurants where nearby small souvenirs are for sale. This place is suitable for transiting tourists, rather than a destination point.
SUMENEP
Sumenep is listed in the eastern end of Madura Island. It takes more than four hours toget to Sumenep by bus or taxi from Surabaya’s harbour of Tanjung Perak.
Sumenep has some interesting sites to visit. Besides historical sites like Kraton and Tiny Museum, Traditional Art and Cultural Attractions as Mask Dance and Bull Race, it also has beautiful beaches like Lombang beach and Slopeng beach to see.
SURABAYA CITY

Trenggalek, is situated on the South-West of Surabaya the Capital city of East Java Province and borders on Tulungagung in the East, Indonesian Ocean in the South, Pacitan and Ponorogo in the West, and Ponorogo and Tulungagung Regencies in the North. Trenggalek has been known as one of the regencies with in East Java Province since the Dutch Goverment. This regency is decided into 14 districts consisting of 157 villages (152 villages and 5 sub districts).
TUBAN
Tuban is a coastal town, with wide airy streets and a Mediterranean fell. From the West, tambak (fish ponds) lines the route into this sleepy fishing town and administrative center. Established in the twelfths century, by the sixteenth century Tuban had become an important trading center with a large Chinese population of merchants and other commercial intermediaries servicing the spice trade between the islands of Maluku and India, the Middle East and Europe. Visitors to the Majapahit Kingdom arrived at Tuban, and Kublai Khan’s envoy in the thirteenth century landed here.
TULUNGAGUNG
